SOLEMN SHOPPING – ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the acceptable and unacceptable activities on the Solemn Shopping marketplace platform (“Platform”). The purpose of this policy is to protect users, ensure product authenticity, maintain marketplace integrity, and provide a safe and trusted trading environment.

This policy applies to all users, including Vendors/Sellers, Buyers/Customers, and Service partners.

AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By accessing or using Solemn Shopping, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to comply with this AUP and accept that violating this AUP may lead to suspension, legal action, or permanent removal from the platform.

GENERAL ACCEPTABLE USE CONDITIONS

All users must:

· Provide accurate registration information.

· Use the platform only for lawful purposes.

· Respect the rights of other users and Solemn Shopping.

· Report suspicious activity.

· Maintain confidentiality of login credentials.

· Comply with local and international laws.

VENDOR ACCEPTABLE USE

Vendors must:

· Sell only legitimate, lawful products.

· Provide accurate product details and pricing.

· Maintain stock accuracy.

· Ensure products are safe and genuine.

· Honour warranties and returns.

· Deliver products on time.

BUYER ACCEPTABLE USE

Buyers must:

· Provide valid delivery information.

· Make genuine purchases.

· Not attempt to manipulate sellers or the system.

PROHIBITED PRODUCTS AND CONTENT

The following items are strictly prohibited:

· Illegal drugs, narcotics, or controlled substances.

· Firearms, explosives, or ammunition.

· Counterfeit, pirated, or stolen goods.

· Pornographic materials.

· Unregistered pharmaceuticals.

· Human organs or medical specimens.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Users are prohibited from:

· Identity theft, impersonation, or fraud.

· Selling counterfeit products.

· Attempting to hack or bypass platform security.

· Manipulating payments or pricing.

· Posting false or defamatory reviews.

· Sending spam or unsolicited messages.

CONTENT STANDARDS

All content posted must be accurate, respectful, non-discriminatory, and free of harassment or violence.

DATA PRIVACY AND SECURITY

Users must:

· Protect login credentials.

· Not misuse personal data obtained from transactions.

· Not collect or distribute private information without consent.

PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL HONESTY

Users must not:

· Provide fake payment proofs.

· Engage in chargeback fraud.

· Manipulate refunds.

POST-SALE RESPONSIBILITIES (Vendors)

Vendors must:

· Deliver products within agreed timelines.

· Follow packaging guidelines.

· Accept returns according to platform policy.

· Provide good customer support.

LEGAL COMPLIANCE

Users must comply with:

· Nigerian commercial law.

· Intellectual property regulations.

· Consumer protection laws.

ENFORCEMENT AND INVESTIGATION

Solemn Shopping reserves the right to:

· Investigate potential violations.

· Request additional verification.

· Suspend accounts for investigation.

· Ban users permanently for serious violations.

PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION

Penalties may include:

· Warnings or strikes.

· Product takedowns.

· Financial penalties.

· Account suspension or banning.

· Legal prosecution.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Buyer–seller disputes will be resolved through Solemn Shopping dispute channels and escalated where necessary.

MONITORING AND AUDIT

Solemn Shopping may:

· Monitor transactions and listings.

· Track suspicious activities.

· Request supporting documents.

POLICY MODIFICATION

Solemn Shopping may modify this AUP at any time, and updated versions will be communicated to users.

ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY

By accessing the platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this AUP.

ANTI–MONEY LAUNDERING (AML)

Solemn Shopping reserves the right to suspend transactions involving suspicious funds and report activities to regulatory authorities.

PAYMENT PROCESSOR COMPLIANCE

Users agree that Solemn Shopping complies with the directives of its payment processors, including Paystack, commercial banks and may restrict platform use as required.
